The Mississippi State Personnel Board (MSPB) recognized 140 graduates from its professional development and certification programs during a graduation ceremony held today at Sparkman Auditorium at the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum.
Secretary of State Michael Watson delivered the keynote address and encouraged graduates to continue developing their leadership skills and commended their commitment to public service.
Graduates completed requirements for several MSPB Office of Training and Development programs, including the Mississippi Certified Public Manager® (MCPM) Program, the Human Resources Certification Program (HRCP), the Administrative Services Certification Program (ASCP), and the Executive Services Certification Program (ESCP).
“These graduates represent the future of Mississippi state government,” said MSPB Executive Director Kelly Hardwick. “By investing in professional development, they are strengthening their agencies and improving services for the citizens of Mississippi.”
MSPB’s training and certification programs are designed to equip state employees with the knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities needed to meet the evolving demands of public service. The nationally recognized MCPM Program provides comprehensive leadership development for managers and supervisors, while HRCP, ASCP, and ESCP offer specialized training for human resources and administrative professionals in state government.
