How to Register

Mississippi State Employees

To apply for participation in one of our certification programs or register for a single class, Mississippi state employees should follow the steps below:

  1. State employees must register online via the MAGIC Portal.
  2. Select the Employee Self-Service tab.
  3. Select the State Personnel Board Catalog under the Course Catalog.
  4. Select the desired MSPB Program.
  5. Select the appropriate Course. Program Level, and/or Professional Development Class.
  6. Select the Course Dates and submit request for approval.

Please note that MAGIC registration is first come, first served basis. Just requesting registration in MAGIC does not hold you a seat in the class. You must be approved by your agency, and there has to be an available seat at the time of this approval in MAGIC. We cannot hold a seat for a participant. Please do not pre-book a class. MSPB does not process pre-bookings. You must request registration in MAGIC.

Mississippi Local Government Employees

If you are a Mississippi local government employee, you may register by emailing mspbworkforcedevelop@mspb.ms.gov with the class name and date.
