Paid parental leave is available to Mississippi state employees as outlined in the Mississippi State Employee Handbook Section 3.2.

As outlined in the Mississippi State Employee Handbook, every person wishing to take paid parental leave shall attest to the fact that he or she is qualified for paid parental leave and that for the period he or she is requesting paid parental leave that he or she is the child’s primary caregiver by completing the form below and submitting it to his or her agency's HR office.
