News Excellence in Government Award Nomination Deadline Extended

Created On: 6/24/2020 9:05:05 AM

The Mississippi State Personnel Board will accept nominations for the 2020 Excellence in Government Awards until September 1, 2020.   MSPB has extended the deadline due to the interrupted legislative session and to accommodate agencies whose normal operations were interrupted by COVID-19.  MSPB was authorized by the Mississippi Legislature to establish the Excellence in Government Awards program, and the inaugural award was given in 2012 to encourage the development of innovative systems of public administration.  Each year, these awards recognize “excellence and innovation in the management of administrative procedures which increase the quality of public service at the state, district and local government levels.”
