News MSPB’s Henry Williams Selected to Serve on IPMA-HR Southern Region Board

Henry Williams, MSPB’s director of operations, has been selected to serve on the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) Southern Region Board of Directors.  Williams also serves as treasurer of the Mississippi Chapter of IPMA-HR.

Since 1906, IPMA-HR has been a resource for public employees for comprehensive and timely HR industry news, jobs, policies, resources, education, and professional development opportunities.  The Southern Region of IPMA-HR includes chapters from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

As MSPB’s director of operations, Williams is responsible for overseeing MSPB’s internal operations including communications, information technology, and administrative services.  He also supervises MSPB staff’s administrative support of the Employee Appeals Board.

Williams has more than 30 years of private and public sector work experience in management and human resources. His public sector experience started with Mississippi’s Department of Finance and Administration as an HR specialist, and he served as deputy administrator for Mississippi Public Broadcasting. His tenure in the private sector included leadership positions throughout various manufacturing facilities for Delphi Automotive Systems and General Motors Corporation.

A native of Washington, D.C., Williams earned a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Howard University.
